American Film Review Paranoid Park

An unsolved murder at Portland's infamous Paranoid Park brings detectives to a local high school, propelling a young skater into a moral odyssey where he must not only deal with the pain and disconnect of adolescence but the consequences of his own actions.

Guv Van Sant adapted for the big screen Paranoid Park, the novel by Blake Nelson. The story is built around a teen skateboarder who accidentally causes the death of a security guard. From then, his life starts to fall apart. The movie won the 60th anniversary prize at 2007 Cannes Film festival.
